How to Adjust the Maximum Number of Card Columns in Your Channel Feed

When you're customizing the layout of your channel feed, you may want to control how many columns of cards are displayed. This can help create a cleaner, more organized appearance, especially on devices with different screen sizes. See sample below: 



Here’s a quick guide on how to set the maximum number of card columns for your channel feed.

Step by Step Instructions

1. Select the Left Hand Menu on your Hub.
2. Click on your Profile (if you are signed out, sign in).
3. Navigate to Hub Administration.
4. Select 'Advanced options'.
   
5. Scroll down the Advanced options till you find 'Maximum number of card columns'.
   
6. Change the number of card columns you would like (from 1 to 5 columns).
7. Click 'Save' in the Advanced options header.

Important Considerations

• Responsiveness: Keep in mind that the maximum number of columns is limited by the viewer’s screen size. On smaller screens, like mobile devices, the number of columns will automatically adjust to fit the screen.
• Content Size: The width of your cards will change according to the number of columns. More columns mean narrower cards, which could affect how your content is displayed.
• User Experience: Always consider the user experience. Too many columns can be overwhelming, while too few may not utilize the space effectively.

Pro Tip: When adding images you can select the icon to use "original size" for the image to provide a creative feel to your cards.
