When it comes to organizing and hosting your content, the main engine of the IHUBApp is our channels and the fuel that you add to supercharge engagement are the Posts that you publish within the channels. In this guide, we are going to walk you through all the main elements you need to create channels.
We've designed an intelligent system of categories and channels that makes it easy for you to post updates into channels that you have created and organized. Then, our system automatically notifies each channel member according to their individual preferences providing a hyper-personalized experience every time.
See: Understanding Categories, Channels and Posts.
What types of Channels can I create?
There are three types of channels that you can create to add Posts to. They are:
|
Type |
Definition |
|---|---|
|
Public |
Users can view content in Public Channels and join these channels without approval from Channel Owner or Admins. Anyone visiting your IHUBApp can see the Channel and its content without needing to join. |
|
Request to Join |
Users can see that the channel exists, but they can not view any content until their request has been approved by a Channel Owner/Administrator. |
|
Private |
Users do not know these private channels exist and cannot see any content in them unless the Channel Owner/Administrator invites them into the Channel. |
Note: You can select multiple different types of channels on post, in which case it will always display to any Public channel selected, along with any RTJ or Private or channel(s) selected.
