Add a Channel

Channels are what make your IHUBApp so unique. They give your users the power to choose what they are updated on by joining/subscribing to Channels that interest them.

Instructions

NOTE: You must be signed into your IHUBApp and have appropriate permission to be able to customize this message. 

1. Select the Top Nav Menu on your Hub
2. Click on your Profile
3. Navigate to Hub Administration
4. Select 'Channels'
5. Click on the ( + ) next to Channels
   

6. Fill out the prompt in the screen that comes up.
   

7. Fill in the Channel details (Channel name, URL handle and select the Channel privacy level)

8. Optional Items: 

   • Category - Choose what category your channel falls under for optimal organization.

   • Short Description - You can write a description of what type of information/content the channel includes. People can quickly read the description before deciding to join/view the channel.

   • Image - Add an image that describes your channel. Example: Dogs channel may have a picture of a Dog. If you do not want to add an image to your channel, it will be set to a default image which is the first letter of the channel name and a corresponding color.

9. Once you are happy with your channel preview on the right side, 'Save' your new channel. 

10. A pop up box will appear confirming your new channel has been created and prompts you to start adding users to your channel. Continue with prompts or dismiss.
