Creating a Post by Email
This video gives an overview of how to create a post within your HUB by using the Post by Email feature.
NOTE: You must be signed into your IHUBApp and have appropriate permission to post in channels.
How to Create a New Post by sending an Email
- In the Builder, navigate to Manage > Channels > Click on the Channel that you have permission to post content to
- In the top right select the three button menu option
- Click on "Copy post by email address"
- Open your email. (Example uses Gmail)
- Compose a new message
- In the 'To' field, Paste (ctrl + v) the Email Address you just copied from the Builder
- Write a Subject line for your Email which will appear as the title for your post.
- Write your message.

How to copy the post by email address from the IHUBApp
- Select the Top Nav Menu on your Hub
- Click on your Profile
- Navigate to Hub Administration
- Select "Channels"
- Select the Channel you wish to post the content to
- Expand the channel info window and select the "Copy" button next to Post-by-email address
- Repeat steps 4-8 above.
NOTE: You can attach documents, pictures, and URL links! Inline images will appear in the body of the post, attachments will appear as links.
- Once your message is complete, send your email.
10. Your email will now be visible in the channel you emailed it to.
NOTE: Your post will have a Default Image assigned to it. The Default Image is the image and color combo that a post or channel defaults to when an image is not uploaded or post by email is completed. You can always go into the Builder and update the Default Image by going to Communicate > News > Find Post > Edit
