How to Unblock Push Notifications
Push notifications help you stay updated with important alerts and messages from our platform. If you're not receiving notifications, follow this guide to ensure they're properly enabled on your devices.
First: Test Your Notifications
Before troubleshooting, let's verify if notifications are working:
- Make sure notifications are turned on in your account settings
- Click the "Send mobile test" button to test your mobile notifications
- Click the "Send desktop test" button to test your desktop notifications (NOTE: Due to recent browser changes, enabling Pop-Ups for your hub in your browser settings is required to enable Pop-Up notifications on your desktop. Otherwise, notifications will only appear in your notification center as intended.)
If you don't receive the test notifications within a few minutes, follow the device-specific instructions below.
Mobile Devices
Important: You must have our hub application installed on your mobile device to receive push notifications. Simply viewing our platform in a browser like Safari won't deliver push notifications.
iOS (iPhone/iPad)
- Open your device Settings
- Tap Notifications
- Scroll down and tap your Hub. (Note: If your hub doesn't appear under Notifications in Settings, then notifications are not enabled on your account in your hub, or you have not logged in yet with notifications enabled on your profile.)
- Make sure "Allow Notifications" is turned ON
- Enable all notification options:
- Lock Screen
- Notification Center
- Banners
- Sounds
- Badges
Additional steps for persistent issues:
- Update iOS to the latest version
- Delete and reinstall our app (you may need to log in again)
Android
- Open your device Settings
- Tap Apps or Applications
- Find and tap our app
- Tap Notifications
- Make sure the toggle for "Allow notifications" is turned ON
- Check that all relevant notification categories are enabled
Additional steps for persistent issues:
- Check if Battery Optimization is restricting the app
- Go to Settings > Battery > Battery Optimization
- Find our app and set it to "Don't optimize"
- Ensure Background Data is enabled
- Go to Settings > Apps > our app > Data usage
- Enable "Background data"
Desktop Browsers
Google Chrome
- Click the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner.
- Select Settings.
- In the left sidebar, click Privacy and security.
- Click Site Settings.
- Scroll down and click Notifications.
- Look for your hub in the "Block" or "Allow" lists.
- If our hub is in the "Block" list, click the three dots next to it and select Allow.
- If you don't see your hub, visit your hub and you should receive a prompt to allow notifications.
- Return to Site Settings
- Scroll down and select "Pop-ups and redirects"
- Select "Add" next to "Allowed to send pop-ups and use redirects" and add your hub url.
Additional steps for persistent Desktop issues:
- Clear browser cache and cookies
- Go to Settings > Privacy and security > Clear browsing data.
- Select "Cookies and site data" and "Cached images and files".
- Click Clear data.
- Check Chrome's notification settings in your operating system
- Windows: Go to Settings > System > Notifications. (Banner notifications must enable to allow pop-up notifications, or they will only go to your Notification Center)
- Mac: Go to System Preferences > Notifications > Chrome.
Note: Instructions may slightly differ depending on your browser. For Firefox, Edge, Safari, or other browsers, the process is similar and requires enabling Notifications, and allowing Pop-ups, but menu locations may vary.
