Spread the Word
In Person
When in meetings or organization outings, start telling people about your Hub and have them login/register for the with you there. It's helpful to get them in right there on the spot so they can ask you questions as they navigate your Hub for the first time.
Social Media
If your Hub is external-facing, use the Share icons on your Posts to share content to your social media sites. Sharing links from your Hub to these different sites will get users interacting with your content. If you’re constantly redirecting them to the Hub and giving them the content they need, they’ll organically start going there without your help.
Leverage your Mailing List
You may have a mailing list that you use now to communicate with your members. Once you determine a date to launch, send a regular email communication to those members, letting them know that your new Hub is coming and what they need to know.
In this email, we recommend giving them key dates, like when your Hub will be live, and for them to be on the lookout for an email inviting them to join the Hub. If you don’t give them a heads-up and invite them directly, some may ignore the general invitation because they’ll have no idea what it’s for and think it’s spam. It's always best to give a heads-up before inviting them to your Hub.
Promote your Hub everywhere!
Include a call-to-action everywhere on your materials. Make sure a link to your Hub is prominently displayed in all of the places that new and current members find you now. This includes your website, emails, newsletters, banners, print materials, posters at events and your social media channels. Remember, it takes seven attempts to get people’s attention, so the more you remind people, the better it will be! Something like "Looking for updates? They can be found in our Hub at … (your Hub address here).”
Add Members to Your Hub
Now that your Hub site is all set up, you want to start inviting people to come read and interact with your content! It's easy to invite or bulk import users into your site.
