How to Create a Channel

Channels are what make your IHUBApp so unique as it allows your users to subscribe to what interest them. In this video, you'll learn how to create a Channel from start to finish. 

Step by Step Instructions

1. Select the Top Nav Menu on your Hub
2. Click on your Profile
3. Navigate to Hub Administration
4. Select 'Channels'
   
5. Click on the Category where you want the channel to reside.
6. Select the + button to "Add Channel"
7. Click on the ‘Create channel’ option
   

8. A "Create Channel" form will appear:
   

9. Select Create

10. Your channel is now created

Difference Between Public, Private & Request to Join Channels

• Public - Users can view content in Public Channels and join these channels without approval from Channel Owner or Admins. Anyone visiting your IHUBApp can see the Channel and its content without needing to join. 

• Request to Join (AKA: Request) - Users can see that the channel exists, but they can not view any content until their request has been approved by a Channel Owner/Administrator. 

• Private - Users do not know this private Channels exists and can not see any content in them unless the Channel Owner/Administrator invites them into the Channel from the Builder.
